## Synopsis

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (1976) is a United States Saturday morning science fiction children's series created by Marty Krofft, Ken Spears, Sid Krofft and Joe Ruby for ABC. Produced by Sid and Marty Krofft Television Productions, the single-season run of sixteen short segments follows Lori (Deidre Hall) and Judy (Judy Strangis), two young women who become the superpowered heroines Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Their engine is simple and episodic: each segment pits the pair against a rotating cast of villains, with the help of Professor Frank Heflin (Norman Alden) and a narrator who frames the action. Episodes are brief, bright and colorful, built on campy costumes, goofy set pieces and an earnest sense of adventure aimed squarely at young viewers. The tone is cheerful, wholesome and playful, with a nostalgic charm for fans of the era's live action kids programming. Fans of H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville and the 1975 Wonder Woman will find a similar mix of camp, costume and female-led fantasy. The show was later syndicated in Krofft Super Stars and released on home video, where its segments were combined into eight episodes.
