## Synopsis

Nashville (2012-2018) is a American primetime serialized drama created by Callie Khouri for ABC, with its music spun off to CMT. Rayna James (Connie Britton) and Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) are two country stars whose professional rivalry and personal lives tangle as they chase hit records, headline tours and creative control. Around them, Scarlett O'Connor (Clare Bowen), Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten), and Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) pursue songwriting breaks and romantic entanglements in a crowded industry where labels, family loyalties and old debts shape every decision. Each season is a six-season continuing soap, built around recording sessions, live performances and backstage clashes, with original songs staged in nearly every episode. Set in present-day Nashville, Tennessee, the series moves through the glitz of award shows, the grit of small clubs and the warmth of Southern family gatherings. Its tone is glossy and romantic, with a soapy appetite for betrayal and reconciliation balanced by sincere affection for the music. Fans of Empire, Dallas and Smash will find resonance in its mix of ambition, melodrama and musical spectacle.
