## Synopsis

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008-2009) is an American science fiction action drama series created by Josh Friedman for FOX. Set in the years after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, it follows Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) and her teenage son John Connor (Thomas Dekker) as they stay hidden from government agencies while plotting to destroy the computer network Skynet before it can bring about Armageddon. Their engine is constant flight and preparation: every episode pits the family against relentless humanoid killing machines, while a protected cyborg named Cameron (Summer Glau) and LAPD detective James Ellison (Richard T. Jones) complicate their loyalties. Across two seasons and thirty-one episodes, the series unfolds as one continuing serialized story rather than standalone cases, with its action sequences grounded in a bleak, paranoid present. Its tone mixes propulsive set pieces with quieter moments of family strain and emotional fragility. Fans of the Terminator films, Battlestar Galactica and Person of Interest will find resonance in its machine paranoia and survival-driven storytelling.
