## Synopsis

Nichijou: My Ordinary Life (2011) is a Japanese animated slice of life comedy produced by Kyoto Animation for TV Aichi. Following three ordinary high school girls, Yuuko Aioi (voiced by Mariko Honda), Mio Naganohara (voiced by Mai Aizawa) and Mai Minakami (voiced by Misuzu Togashi), the series builds its episodes from small daily awkwardness that the girls make a thousand times worse. Their classmates, including Nano Shinonome (voiced by Shizuka Furuya), join in a colorful ensemble. Down the street, a pocket-sized professor, Hakase (voiced by Hiromi Konno), keeps making life difficult for a robot who just wants to be normal. Each episode is a loose collection of short, self-contained vignettes rather than one continuing plot, so the format feels like a sequence of escalating mishaps. The tone is deadpan, breezy and absurd, with ordinary school life treated as a place where salmon can fall from the sky and friendship is the only reliable constant. Its single season of 26 episodes is a cozy, playful watch that fans of Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star will find resonance in, with the same warm, offbeat mood.
