## Synopsis

Time Trax (1993-1994) is an American-Australian co-produced science fiction series created by Grant Rosenberg, Harve Bennett and Ruel Fischmann. Dale Midkiff stars as Darien Lambert, a police officer from the future who is hurled into the past to track down and return convicted criminals who have escaped prison in the future. Elizabeth Alexander plays Selma, his companion in the present-day chase, while the series builds its episodes around a fresh pursuit in each hour-long installment. Each episode moves briskly through a new locale, with the protagonist improvising through unfamiliar customs and technology while closing in on his quarry. The show runs for two seasons and forty-four episodes, a single continuing premise rather than a serialized saga, and it arrived as the last new production from Lorimar Television. Its tone is earnest and action-forward, with a lighthearted fish-out-of-water streak and a 1990s television sheen. Fans of Quantum Leap and Timecop will find a similar appeal in a displaced lawman, time-travel mishaps and a hunt that carries each episode from start to finish.
