## Synopsis

Queen In Hyun's Man (2012) is a South Korean time-travel romantic comedy created for tvN and produced by Studio Dragon and Chorokbaem Media. Scholar Kim Boong Do (Ji Hyun-woo), who once campaigned to reinstate Queen In Hyun, is pulled three centuries forward from the Joseon court into modern Seoul, where he meets Choi Hee-jin (Yoo In-na), a no-name actress hoping her role as that very queen will revive her career. The engine of the series is the culture clash between a stern royal-court scholar and the restless, image-conscious modern world, with each episode built from awkward encounters, sharp class humor, and the pressure of a television production whose costume drama mirrors his own past. Hee-jin's career ambitions and Boong Do's sense of duty pull against one another, and their growing attachment carries the story across its sixteen episodes in a single continuing arc. The show is set partly in 1700s Joseon royal court and partly in present-day Seoul, a double setting that gives the historical intrigue and the glossy modern television world equal weight. Its tone is light, witty and warm, with romantic tension and gentle satire of the entertainment industry. Fans of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Sungkyunkwan Scandal and Back to the Future will find resonance in its blend of period romance, time travel and comedy.
