## Synopsis

Full House (1987-1995) is an American family sitcom created by Jeff Franklin for ABC. After the death of his wife, widowed father Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) recruits his best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) and his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) to help raise his three daughters, D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle (Mary-Kate Olsen). The engine of the show is the daily chaos of a crowded household: sibling rivalries, school crushes, neighborhood schemes and the constant negotiation between three adult men who are learning to parent together. Each episode is self-contained, built around a small dilemma that resolves with a warm, lightly moralizing lesson. The run spans eight seasons and roughly two hundred episodes, a classic multi-camera sitcom with a laugh track and a stable cast. Set in a San Francisco house, it carries a breezy, comforting, nostalgic register centered on family loyalty and found family. Fans of Family Matters, Step by Step and The Wonder Years will find similar household warmth and coming-of-age humor.
