## Synopsis

Dominion Tank Police (1988-1994) is a Japanese animated science fiction action series created as an anime production for television and home video. Leona Ozaki joins the notorious Tank Police division of Newport City, where she is paired with the AI companion Al and drives her newly built mini-tank Bonaparte. Her goal is to bring down the gangster Buaku and his cohorts, the Puma Sisters, and the engine of each episode is a clash between a small, underpowered armored unit and a city full of organized criminals and armed threats. The series runs ten episodes across two seasons, with a first season released in 1988 and a second in 1993, giving it a compact, self-contained shape. Its tone blends brisk mecha action with irreverent humor and flashes of brash camaraderie, set in a stylized futuristic metropolis. Fans of Patlabor: The TV Series, Bubblegum Crisis and Armored Trooper Votoms will find the same mix of armored hardware, police work and playful sci-fi energy. The series rewards viewers who enjoy retro anime and sharp, fast-moving vehicular combat.
