## Synopsis

Saved by the Bell (1989-1993) is an American teen sitcom created by Sam Bobrick for NBC. Lovable schemer Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) leads his pals A.C. Slater (Mario López), Screech Powers (Dustin Diamond), Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies), Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) and Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen) through the everyday dramas of Bayside High School in California. Zack wants to dodge consequences and win the girl, while his schemes keep colliding with the rules of the school and the watchful eye of Principal Richard Belding (Dennis Haskins). Each episode is a self-contained comedy built from concrete school life: final exams, school dances, breakups, part-time jobs and gossip among classmates. The show runs four seasons and eighty-six episodes as a single-camera-free multi-camera sitcom with a bright, breezy, cozy atmosphere. Its look is pure early nineties Southern California, with beaches, malls and pastel fashion. Fans of Boy Meets World, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Full House will find the same mix of playful romance, wholesome friendship and light moral lessons. Its tone is joyful and gentle, making it an easy comfort watch for teens and families.
