## Synopsis

Mike, Lu & Og (1999-2000) is an American animated family comedy created by Charles Swenson, Mikhail Aldashin and Mikhail Shindel for Cartoon Network. Its central figures are spunky red-haired Mike, voiced by Nika Futterman, the stuck-up island princess Lu, voiced by Nancy Cartwright, and Lu's cousin Og, a scientific genius voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. Their days revolve around small adventures on an island kingdom, where Mike's energy clashes with Lu's royal pride and Og's inventive schemes tend to spiral into trouble. The show runs for two seasons and 26 episodes of about twenty-two minutes each, with each story largely self-contained and built from light comic mishaps, quirky side characters and playful fantasy settings. The overall tone is bright, goofy and gentle, suited to younger viewers and easy to follow without any heavy continuity. Its whimsical, kid-friendly atmosphere places it alongside Avatar: The Last Airbender, Adventure Time and Dexter's Laboratory for fans of animated family adventure with a playful sensibility.
