## Synopsis

Hunted (2012) is a British spy thriller series created by Frank Spotnitz for BBC One and Cinemax. Melissa George plays Samantha Hunter, an operative at a private intelligence agency who becomes convinced that someone among her own colleagues tried to kill her. Her pursuit of the truth forces her to question everyone around her, including Morven Christie as Zoe Morgan, Adam Rayner as Aidan Marsh, and Stephen Dillane as Rupert Keel, as the agency's loyalties blur. The engine of the series is a tense, one-season hunt: each episode tightens the net around a hidden threat while Samantha must stay one step ahead of people she once trusted. Told across a single run of eight hour-long episodes, the show moves through covert meetings, surveillance, and dangerous field operations set in contemporary Britain and abroad. Its mood is taut and paranoid, with a cold, procedural sheen and a steady undercurrent of dread. Fans of Alias, Spooks, and Homeland will find resonance in its female-led espionage, its institutional mistrust, and its relentless suspense.
