## Synopsis

Sam & Cat (2013-2014) is an American Nickelodeon sitcom created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon. Jennette McCurdy plays loud, independent Sam Puckett, and Ariana Grande plays sweet, flighty Cat Valentine, the mismatched pair who become best friends and roommates. Their engine is simple and funny: they need money to afford burgers at their favorite robot restaurant, so they launch a booming out-of-home babysitting business that drags them into one wacky adventure after another. Each episode is a self-contained kids' comedy built on slapstick, quick banter, and the friction between Sam's toughness and Cat's sugary weirdness. Cameron Ocasio appears as Dice, and the supporting cast includes Elizabeth Gillies as Jade West and Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson, though the series spent just one season and thirty-five episodes on air before cancellation. The tone is bright, breezy, and gleefully silly, with a warm loyalty between its leads at its center. Fans of iCarly, Victorious, and That's So Raven will find the same mix of teen-friendly chaos, sitcom mugging, and easy familial affection.
