## Synopsis

Ghost Hunters (2004-2016) is an American paranormal reality series that aired on Syfy across eleven seasons and 233 episodes. Its principal investigators Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson (with Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango as recurring team members) travel to places reported to be haunted and work to help everyday residents struggling with unexplained phenomena. The engine of each episode is the team's fieldwork: they arrive with forensic experts, historical records and a kit of measurement gadgets, then test each claim methodically before deciding what, if anything, is happening. Each season is made of standalone case visits, so viewers can drop in at any point without losing the thread. The tone is earnest and procedural rather than theatrical, with the crew treating the work as technical investigation and the clients as people who need answers. Its atmosphere mixes eerie night-time vigils in empty buildings with practical, down-to-earth conversations. Fans of Paranormal State, Most Haunted and Destination Fear will find the same blend of location-based scares and investigative method.
