## Synopsis

JAG (1995-2005) is a US military legal drama series created by Donald P. Bellisario for NBC, later continuing on CBS. Former naval aviator turned lawyer Harmon Rabb Jr. (David James Elliott) works in the Judge Advocate General division, the elite legal wing that prosecutes and defends officers and enlisted personnel accused of military-related crimes. Alongside him, Lt. Col. Sarah Mackenzie (Catherine Bell) and AJ Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) pursue the truth in courts martial, where rank, classified secrets and service loyalty complicate every case. Across ten seasons and roughly 227 episodes, the show is built mostly as a case of the week courtroom format, with some season-long threads following the team's personal and professional lives. The engine is the tension between justice and the institution's demands, delivered through hearings, investigations and tense courtroom confrontations. Set in the modern US Navy and Marine Corps, it carries a earnest, patriotic and procedural tone, with a steady ensemble atmosphere. Fans of Law & Order and A Few Good Men will find resonance in its courtroom structure and moral stakes.
