## Synopsis

My Little Monster (2012) is a Japanese anime romantic comedy series produced by Brain's Base and Aniplex, broadcast on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations. Adapted from a shoujo manga, it follows Mizutani Shizuku, a diligent high school student who keeps to herself and focuses on her studies until she is assigned to deliver class materials to Yoshida Haru. Voiced by Haruka Tomatsu and Tatsuhisa Suzuki, the two characters anchor a story that widens into new friendships and tentative feelings, with classmates such as Takuma Terashima's Yamaguchi Kenji and Kana Hanazawa's Chizuru Oshima adding warmth and complications. Each episode is built from ordinary school days, study pressure, awkward confessions and small social breakthroughs, all told at a gentle, measured pace. The tone is wistful and tender, with comic restraint and quiet emotional beats rather than grand drama. Fans of Kimi ni Todoke and Horimiya will find a similar blend of shy romance and coming of age, and viewers who enjoy slice of life anime will recognize its patient, character driven rhythm. Across its single thirteen episode season it offers a low stakes, heartfelt look at a withdrawn girl learning to let people in.
