## Synopsis

Qué Bonito Amor (2012-2013) is a Mexican telenovela created by Ricardo Fiallega for Las Estrellas, produced by Televisa. Jorge Salinas plays Santos Martínez de la Garza Treviño, who also goes by Jorge Alfredo Vargas, opposite Danna García as María Mendoza García, a young woman whose love for him is tested by the powerful families around them. Roberto Palazuelos and Malillany Marín play the antagonists whose schemes keep the lovers apart, while Angélica María, Juan Ferrara and Arturo Peniche add family and rival storylines. The engine of the series is the stubborn pursuit of a romance blocked by inheritance, class pride and deception, carried through a long run of 162 episodes of confrontations, reconciliations, betrayals and sweeping emotional turns. Adapted from the Colombian series La Hija del Mariachi, it unfolds in contemporary Mexico with a melodramatic register, sentimental music and heightened family conflict. Fans of La Hija del Mariachi, Rebelde and Yo soy Betty, la fea will find resonance in its blend of romance, rivalry and classic telenovela excess, a rich choice for viewers who enjoy long emotional arcs and devoted romantic leads.
