## Synopsis

Legit (2013-2014) is a two-season American comedy created by Jim Jefferies and Peter O'Fallon for FX and FXX. Stand-up comedian Jim Jefferies plays a fictionalized version of himself, an edgy, foul-mouthed Australian in his mid-thirties living in Los Angeles who wants his life and career to become more respectable. His efforts keep stalling. He is supported by his neurotic best friend and roommate Steve Nugent (Dan Bakkedahl), a cyber-law library salesman struggling after a divorce, and by Steve's brother Billy Nugent (DJ Qualls), who lives with advanced muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair. The engine of each thirty-minute episode is a small social scheme or a bad decision that spirals into awkward, uncomfortable fallout, with the trio's loyalty tested at every step. Across thirteen episodes per season the show moves as one continuing comedy rather than a case of the week.
