## Synopsis

Timon and Pumbaa (1995-1999) is an American animated family comedy series created for syndication and aired on CBS and Toon Disney, produced by Walt Disney Television and Disney Television Animation. Set after the events of The Lion King, it follows the carefree meerkat Timon and the warthog Pumbaa, voiced by Kevin Schon and Ernie Sabella, as they fall into one scrape after another while wandering the jungle and, in later episodes, venturing across the globe. Ernie Sabella's Pumbaa and Kevin Schon's Timon anchor the show, with Corey Burton as the cheerful bird Speedy, Michael Gough as the hornbill Zazu, and Robert Guillaume reprising the wise baboon Rafiki. The engine of each episode is simple: the duo chases a scheme, a snack, or a bit of mischief, and the chaos follows. Across eight seasons and 169 twelve-minute episodes, the format stays episodic, so viewers can pick up anywhere. The tone is breezy, goofy, and warm, built on slapstick, musical banter, and the easygoing friendship that makes the pair endearing. Fans of Gargoyles, Tale Spin, and Darkwing Duck will find the same kids' animation sensibility and affectionate spinoff energy here.
