## Synopsis

Flower Boy Next Door (2013) is a South Korean romantic comedy miniseries created for tvN and adapted from a popular webtoon. Across sixteen episodes of roughly forty-seven minutes each, Park Shin-hye plays Go Dok-mi, a cheerful, nosy young woman who passes her days spying on the good-looking men living around her. Her amusement turns to trouble when Yoon Shi-yoon's Enrique Geum, the new pretty boy next door, catches her in the act and refuses to let it go. The engine of the story is a playful tug of war: Dok-mi wants to keep her private life hidden behind curtains and binoculars, while Enrique pushes her to face the feelings she has been avoiding. Kim Ji-hoon's Oh Jae Won and the rest of the building's residents add a rotating cast of rivals and friends, and a love triangle keeps the romance restless. Episodes lean on awkward encounters, misunderstandings, and sweet moments of recognition rather than large set pieces. The mood is light and warm, with flashes of melancholy as characters reckon with old wounds. Fans of Boys Over Flowers and My Love from the Star will find the same blend of glossy Korean romance and comic misunderstanding here, in a story that is complete within a single season.
