## Synopsis

Africa (2013) is a British nature documentary miniseries presented by David Attenborough for BBC One. Across six episodes of roughly 57 minutes each, Attenborough narrates a sweeping journey through the continent's most varied landscapes, from the Kalahari desert and open savannas to dense jungles and coastal seas. Rather than following a single protagonist, the series is built around the animals themselves, with camera crews documenting the behaviour, survival strategies, and daily rhythms of the wildlife that inhabits each habitat. Its engine is discovery: each episode reveals new creatures and the hidden ways they adapt to heat, scarcity, and seasonal change. The tone is warm, reverent, and wondering, with patient observation given room to breathe and the landscapes shot for scale and beauty. Presented as a single self-contained limited run, it suits viewers who want a calm, informative piece of television about the natural world. Fans of Planet Earth, Blue Planet II, and Planet Earth II will find the same blend of spectacle, scientific curiosity, and Attenborough's unmistakable narration.
