## Synopsis

Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja (2012-2015) is a American animated action comedy series created by Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff for Disney XD. Average high school freshman Randy Cunningham (voiced by Ben Schwartz) is suddenly chosen to become The Ninja, a masked warrior with a mission to defend the downtrodden students of Norrisville. Balancing secret heroics with ordinary school life, he must keep his identity hidden from his friend Howard Weinerman (voiced by Andrew Lewis Caldwell) while facing bullies, classroom chaos and scheming villains. The engine of each episode is simple: a magical threat from The Sorcerer (voiced by Tim Curry and later Ben Cross) or a rival schemer such as Hannibal McFist (voiced by John DiMaggio) disrupts the halls, and Randy must use ninja skills and quick thinking to save his classmates. Across two seasons and 100 short eleven-minute episodes, the series delivers a breezy, gently comic, hopeful tone with bursts of cartoon action. Its suburban American school setting and light-hearted mood make it a comfortable family pick, and fans of Kim Possible, Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender will find resonance in its blend of teen heroics and playful fantasy.
