## Synopsis

Government Job (2012-present) is a Serbian satirical comedy series created by Dimitrije Banjac, Nikola Škorić, Dejan Ćirjaković and Stojče Stoleski for RTV 1 and other Serbian and regional broadcasters, with episodes also distributed on YouTube. Its principal cast is Dimitrije Banjac as Žorž Papadubi, Nikola Škorić as Đuro Torbica and Dejan Ćirjaković as Ratko Dražičić, three employees of a non-existent government company. Rather than following a conventional plot, the show is built from short, witty monologues and exchanges in which the three colleagues react to the day's newspapers, blogs, television, sports and entertainment news, sharing personal opinions on politics and society. The format resembles stand-up, with each episode running only about seven minutes and feeding a steady flow of observational jokes. The office setting gives the satire its frame, and the tone stays breezy, irreverent and sardonic while still nudging viewers to think about current events. Over fourteen seasons and well over two thousand episodes, the show has become a long-running fixture of Balkan topical comedy, in the spirit of The Thick of It and Have I Got News for You.
