## Synopsis

Jekyll and Hyde (2015) is a British-American science fiction thriller series created by Charlie Higson for ITV1. Set in 1930s London, it follows Robert Jekyll, grandson of the original Henry Jekyll, played by Tom Bateman, as he searches for his real identity, his true family history, and the nature of the curse his foster father, Dr Vishal Najaran (Michael Karim), keeps in check with medication. Each episode pushes Robert deeper into a dark, unforgiving city where his alter ego Hyde seems capable of anything, while shadowy forces hunt him for the source of his powers. Richard E. Grant plays Sir Roger Bulstrode, adding a sinister presence to the proceedings. The single ten-episode season is a serialized mystery built on concrete chases, secret records and violent transformations, with a gothic, rain-soaked tone. Fans of Penny Dreadful and the 1941 Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will find resonance in its blend of Victorian-rooted horror and period conspiracy. The show was cancelled before its arc was complete.
