## Synopsis

Mario (2013-2014) is an Italian absurdist sitcom created by Maccio Capatonda for MTV Italia. Across two seasons and 34 episodes of roughly twenty minutes each, Maccio Capatonda plays the title character alongside Rupert Sciamenna as Lord Micidial and Herbert Ballerina as Ginetto Micidial, with Lavinia Longhi as Melany Micidial and Luca Confortini as Michelangelo. The engine is simple and ridiculous: characters chase small ambitions and petty goals while escalating absurd complications pile up around them. Each episode works as a self-contained comic sketch rather than a continuing story, giving the show a loose, episodic shape. The register is deliberately silly, deadpan and irreverent, with broad exaggeration of everyday Italian life and a homemade, low-budget feel. Fans of Stella Maris, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! will find resonance in its surreal, parodic comedy and deadpan performances. The show offers a playful, anarchic viewing experience for audiences who enjoy oddball humor.
