## Synopsis

Low Winter Sun is an AMC crime drama created by Chris Mundy. Mark Strong plays Frank Agnew, a Detroit detective who joins fellow detective Joe Geddes, played by Lennie James, in what seems like a perfect crime: the murder of a cop. The cover-up sets off forces that drag Frank into the heart of the Detroit underworld, where he must navigate loyalties, lies and escalating threats. James Ransone and Sprague Grayden round out the principal cast as figures tied to the case. The single season runs ten episodes, each a tight, brooding chapter of deception and consequence, with the central conflict building steadily toward a cliffhanger. Its tone is bleak and tense, rooted in the decaying streets of Detroit. Viewers who enjoy The Shield and other morally compromised cop dramas will find resonance in its portrait of a man trapped by his own choices and the slow erosion of his conscience.
