## Synopsis

24: India (2013-2016) is an Indian national-television action thriller series created by Robert Cochran and Joel Surnow and broadcast on Colors. Anil Kapoor plays ATU agent Jai Rathod, a government operative who has 24 explosive hours in Mumbai to stop an assassination plot against the country's youngest ever Prime Minister. Gurpreet Saini plays Mihir and Mandira Bedi plays Nikita Rai, both drawn into the high-pressure investigation as the clock runs down. Its engine is the relentless ticking clock, with each episode built from tightly interlocking security operations, surveillance, and urgent decisions that must be made under pressure. The series spans two seasons of 24 episodes each, structured as a continuing single-day story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Set in contemporary Mumbai, it carries the propulsive, tense register of a counter-terrorism thriller, with a brooding political atmosphere and a sense of national stakes. Fans of 24, Homeland and Tyrant will find resonance in its blend of espionage, political danger and real-time urgency.
