## Synopsis

Savannah (1996-1997) is an American prime time soap opera created by Constance M. Burge and produced by Aaron Spelling for The WB. Across two seasons and thirty-four episodes, the series follows three best friends who grew up together in Savannah, Georgia: Reese Burton (Shannon Sturges), Peyton Richards Massick (Jamie Luner), and Lane Mackenzie (Robyn Lively). Their close bond is tested as romance, family loyalty, and class divides pull them in different directions. The principal cast also includes Ray Wise as Edward Burton, Paul Satterfield as Tom Massick, David Gail as Dean Collins, and Beth Toussaint as Veronica Koslowski, whose storylines feed the show's appetite for scandal. Each episode layers personal confrontations with murder and revenge plots set against the polished homes and social rituals of a wealthy southern city. The tone is glossy and melodramatic, with heated confrontations and intimate betrayals playing out in a warm, humid setting. Fans of Dawson's Creek, Beverly Hills, 90210, and Dallas will find familiar resonance in its youthful romance and old money intrigue. The series ran on a serialized, soapy schedule that rewards viewers who follow its shifting alliances from week to week.
