## Synopsis

1 Man 1 Woman (2012-2013) is a Turkish romantic comedy series created by Murat Dişli for Star TV, produced by Bando Yapım. Demet Evgar plays Zeynep, a woman who constantly dreams of marriage and is fond of romance, while Emre Karayel plays Ozan, the man whose attitudes toward love and gender set the two at odds. The engine of the series is the friction between Zeynep's romantic hopes and Ozan's skeptical view of relationships, and each episode works through the everyday encounters, misunderstandings and small rivalries that grow out of that clash. Across three seasons and 138 episodes, the show stays with the same couple of leads in a continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format, so the banter builds over time. The setting is contemporary urban Turkey, and the mood is light, witty and warm, with the comedy resting on romantic yearning and the battle of the sexes. Fans of Kara Sevda, How I Met Your Mother and When Harry Met Sally will find resonance in its mix of romance and sparring banter.
