## Synopsis

Yedi Numara (2000-2003) is a Turkish national-television family comedy-drama created by Oya Yüce and broadcast on TRT 1. The series gathers a childless couple, Zeliha Ballıoğlu (Şebnem Sönmez) and Vahit Ballıoğlu (Engin Alkan), together with four city-bred young women and three country boys under one roof, with Armağan Erdem (Tuba Erdem), Ayten Mutlugil (Ayça Mutlugil), Rüya Uslu (Nuray Uslu), Cansu Güney (Gülden Güney), Recep Ballıoğlu (Volkan Girgin), Haydar Ballıoğlu (Okan Selvi) and Berat Çolağıngillerden (Aşkın Şenol) among the principal housemates. The engine of the show is the daily friction of shared life: arguments over chores, rival tastes and clashing expectations between urban and rural upbringings, with each episode built from small household conflicts that slowly turn into fragile understanding. Running for three seasons and ninety-two episodes of about forty minutes each, it is a serialized but episodic household comedy rather than a single plot-driven story. The atmosphere is warm, breezy and comforting, with a hopeful undercurrent beneath the bickering. Its tone and domestic setting will appeal to viewers who enjoy the ensemble household comedies of Friends or the culture-clash humor of Dharma and Greg, in a contemporary Turkish milieu of early two-thousands city life.
