## Synopsis

Jake 2.0 (2003-2004) is an American science fiction action series created by Silvio Horta and broadcast on UPN. Christopher Gorham plays Jake Foley, a computer expert working for the National Security Agency who is accidentally infected by nanobots that give him the power to control technology with his mind. Philip Anthony-Rodriguez plays Kyle Duarte, a colleague in the agency's world of covert operations, while Judith Scott and Keegan Connor Tracy round out the principal cast. Each hour-long episode pairs a government mission with the strain of living as a government-owned superhuman, so Jake must balance his duties against his own identity and the people he cares about. The show offers a contemporary American setting of surveillance, classified missions and high-tech gadgetry, with a brisk, earnest tone that mixes procedural action with light sci-fi wonder. Its single season of sixteen episodes was cut short by low ratings, leaving a self-contained run of standalone adventures. Fans of Alias, Chuck and Heroes will find resonance in its blend of espionage, tech-driven heroics and an everyman caught in an extraordinary situation.
