## Synopsis

The Tomorrow People (2013-2014) is an American science fiction drama series created by Greg Berlanti, Phil Klemmer, and Julie Plec for The CW. Robbie Amell plays Stephen Jameson, a young man who discovers he belongs to a new stage of human evolution, joining a small circle of gifted peers including Peyton List as Cara Coburn, Luke Mitchell as John Young, and Aaron Yoo as Russell Kwon. Together they can teleport and communicate telepathically, and they work to defeat forces of evil that hunt people like them. Mark Pellegrino appears as Dr. Jedikiah Price, a menacing figure whose agenda shadows the group. The engine of the show is the tension between a desire to live normal lives and the danger of being different, with each episode built around missions, escapes and clashes with a shadowy organization. Spanning a single season of twenty-two hour-long episodes, the series plays as a serialized teen-friendly superhero drama in the vein of Heroes and Roswell, with a glossy, youthful tone that balances hope, friendship and paranoia. The story is set in present-day America, and the show was canceled before its arc could fully close, leaving its ensemble mid-journey.
