## Synopsis

The 100 (2014-2020) is a United States science fiction survival drama created by Jason Rothenberg for The CW. Set roughly a century after nuclear catastrophe, it follows the last humans living on an orbiting ark whose resources are running out. A repressive council sends one hundred expendable juvenile delinquents down to the abandoned, radioactive Earth to test whether it can support life again. Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) is a gifted young doctor-in-training who becomes a reluctant leader, while Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos), Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan) and John Murphy (Richard Harmon) struggle with loyalty, guilt and survival. The engine of the series is the constant pressure of scarce food, hostile clans, and impossible choices made under suspense. Each season is a serialized run of connected episodes, and the show spans seven seasons and one hundred episodes. Its tone is gritty, tense and emotionally raw, with teen drama threaded through a post-apocalyptic landscape. Viewers who enjoy Battlestar Galactica, Lost and The Hunger Games will find similar resonance in its mix of youthful stakes and grim world-building.
