## Synopsis

Day Break (2006-2008) is an American network science fiction thriller series created by Paul Zbyszewski for ABC. Detective Brett Hopper (Taye Diggs) is accused of shooting state attorney Alberto Garza, and though he holds a solid alibi, he realizes he has been framed and runs. Then he wakes up and starts the same day again, forced to relive it and use each loop to uncover who set him up. Andrea Battle (Victoria Pratt), Rita Shelten (Moon Bloodgood) and Chad Shelten (Adam Baldwin) are among the principal figures in his web of suspects and allies, while Detective Spivak (Mitch Pileggi) and Detective Christopher Choi (Ian Anthony Dale) work the case around him. The series runs one season of thirteen hour-long episodes, a serialized mystery in which every loop reveals a little more about the conspiracy. Set in present-day American cities, it blends the tension of a crime chase with the eerie logic of a time loop, creating a tense, paranoid and mind-bending viewing experience. Fans of Groundhog Day, Quantum Leap and Continuum will find resonance in its repeating structure and moral urgency.
