## Synopsis

Blade (2006) is a United States action horror series created by David S. Goyer for Spike, adapting the Marvel comic book hero into a single twelve-episode season set in modern Detroit. Sticky Fingaz plays Blade, a half-human, half-vampire who hunts the demonic creatures that prowl the night, while Jill Wagner plays Krista Starr, a former military veteran drawn into the vampire world as she investigates the murder of her twin brother. Nelson Lee appears as Shen, and Neil Jackson as Marcus Van Sciver, among other figures tied to the vampire house of Chthon. Each episode mixes case-driven investigation with ongoing mystery, as Blade pursues vampire houses through the city's nightlife and shadowed streets while forming an uneasy alliance with Krista. The tone is gritty and violent, with dark urban atmosphere and a grounded sense of danger, though the series leans on action spectacle more than existential reflection. Fans of Blade (1998), Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel will find a similar blend of vampire mythology, supernatural crime and comic book heroics. The show was canceled after its single season, leaving its central storyline unfinished.
