## Synopsis

The Incredible Dr. Pol (2011-2024) is a American unscripted documentary-style reality docuseries created for Nat Geo Wild, following large animal veterinarian Dr. Jan Pol (Jan Pol) and his longtime colleague Dr. Brenda Grettenberger as they run Pol Veterinary Services in Central Michigan farm country. The engine of each episode is simple and concrete: a farmer calls with a sick horse, a calving cow in trouble, a pig with an injured leg, or a flock of sheep, and the team drives out, diagnoses the problem and works through the procedure on site. Narrator Ari Rubin frames the cases with calm explanation while the camera stays close through barns, pastures and kitchen-table conversations with owners. The show runs twenty-four seasons across two hundred seventy-one episodes, a case-of-the-week format in which every episode stands on its own. Its register is warm, matter-of-fact and gently humorous, with a pragmatic rural sensibility that treats surgeries and births as ordinary labor. Animal lovers and fans of Our Yellowstone and The Vet Life will find the same wholesome, observational pleasure in the rhythms of farm work. The series is a steady, comforting watch for families and casual viewers.
