## Synopsis

Azize (2019-2020) is a Turkish romantic drama series created by Volkan Kocatürk for Kanal D, a single-season run of eighteen long episodes that was canceled before its story could fully unfold. Hande Erçel plays Azize Günay, a young woman drawn into a passionate but forbidden affair with Kartal Alpan, played by Buğra Gülsoy, whose family carries its own dark secrets. Duygu Sarışın, Mustafa Avkıran and Selen Öztürk round out the principal cast as rivals, allies and relatives whose loyalties shift with each revelation. Each episode is built from clashing family obligations, whispered betrayals and a dangerous past that threatens to undo everything she holds dear, with emotional stakes pushed forward at a melodramatic pace. Set in contemporary Turkey, the story moves between luxurious homes and tense city streets, carrying a glossy, heightened register of longing, guilt and jealousy. Viewers who love the sweeping romance of Kara Sevda and the family intrigue of Medcezir will find the same emotional pull here, a soap-tinged Turkish television drama built around star-crossed desire.
