## Synopsis

Üsküdar'a Giderken (2011) is a Turkish family comedy series created by Selçuk Aydemir for Kanal D. Set in a contemporary Turkish household, it follows Ayşe (Tülin Özen), a devoted housewife and mother who keeps the home running while her grown children pull in different directions. Her son Erdem (Öner Erkan) and daughter Filiz (Deniz Arna) bring their own frictions into the house, and her husband Baba (Erkan Can) and the family's ever-present elders add warmth and bickering to every scene. The engine of the show is small domestic friction: a meal that goes wrong, a dispute between siblings, an ordinary day that turns into an argument, all treated with light, affectionate humor. Each episode of this single thirteen-episode season is a self-contained slice of family life rather than a continuing plot, giving it an easygoing, episodic rhythm. The tone is cozy, sentimental and gently comic, closer to a sitcom than a drama, and it will appeal to viewers who enjoy Turkish domestic comedy and warm family ensembles. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond and Home Improvement will find resonance in its everyday chaos and affectionate portrait of a family under one roof.
