## Synopsis

Man vs. Wild (2006-2011) is a British and American factual survival documentary series created by Steve Rankin for Discovery. Bear Grylls (Bear Grylls) serves as the host and sole principal presence, dropping himself into popular wilderness destinations where ordinary tourists often end up lost or in danger. Each episode is built around his attempt to find water, shelter, food, and a route out while narrating his decisions and demonstrating bushcraft techniques along the way. The engine is simple: a single presenter against terrain, weather, and hunger, with his practical problem solving carrying every segment. Across seven seasons and sixty-six episodes, the format stays consistent, offering a steady run of self-contained outings rather than one continuing story. The setting shifts from one remote landscape to the next, in mountains, deserts, forests, and coastlines. The tone is rugged, instructive, and upbeat, with a sincere respect for nature and a brisk, practical pace. Fans of Survivorman, Born Survivor, and Planet Earth will find a similar blend of outdoor peril, skill, and natural spectacle.
