## Synopsis

Clarence (2014-2018) is an American animated comedy series created by Skyler Page for Cartoon Network. Its title character is a cheerful young boy who sees the world only in his favorite colors, goofy grape and neon green, and treats each day as an occasion for joy. Clarence himself is voiced by Skyler Page and Spencer Rothbell, with Tom Kenny voicing his big-hearted friend Sumo and Sean Giambrone voicing his friend Jeff. Katie Crown voices his devoted mother Mary, and Roger Craig Smith voices Belson. Running across three seasons and 129 short episodes of about eleven minutes each, the show is built from small everyday misadventures in which Clarence's unshakable optimism meets ordinary trouble and comes out brighter. Its episodes are self-contained and light, set in a bright, simple neighborhood world rather than a grounded real town. The tone is sunny, gentle and warm, with a steady emphasis on friendship, family and the value of noticing good things. Fans of Adventure Time, Steven Universe and The Amazing World of Gumball will find a similar kid-friendly sweetness and inventive heart here. The series was canceled, so its story is left open.
