## Synopsis

The Brak Show (2000-2003) is a United States animated comedy series created for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, a spin-off of the parody talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Its focus is sidekick Brak, voiced by Andy Merrill, who is pulled through a run of bizarre circumstances in his everyday suburban existence alongside his alien mother and his Cuban father, voiced by George Lowe. Brak's sidekick companions, including Zorak voiced by C. Martin Croker and Thundercleese voiced by Carey Means, add to the chaos of a household that treats the strange as routine. Across three seasons and twenty-eight short episodes of roughly eleven minutes each, the show builds its comedy from absurd escalations of mundane domestic life rather than from a single continuing plot. Its tone is surreal, deadpan and irreverent, with a playful, cheerfully weird atmosphere that rewards a quick sitting. Fans of Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and The Simpsons will find resonance in its blend of cartoon absurdity and suburban family comedy. Its brisk, self-contained format makes it an easy pick for a short comedic break.
