## Synopsis

Back to the Future (1991-1992) is an American animated science fiction comedy series created for CBS and produced by Amblin Television and Universal Cartoon Studios. Set after the events of the feature film trilogy, it follows Marty McFly and Doc Brown as they ride their DeLorean time machine through a series of jaunts across history and the future. Doc's wife Clara, Marty's girlfriend Jennifer, and the Brown sons Jules and Verne join the crew, along with the family dog Einstein. Each episode is a self-contained adventure built around a time-hopping problem, with a recurring thread of Biff Tannen's relatives popping up in different eras to stir up trouble. The tone is light, bright and playful, with brisk episodes that lean on comic energy and a warm family dynamic. Live-action segments tied the science to the stories. Fans of Futurama, Doctor Who and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure will find a similar playful time travel spirit here.
