## Synopsis

Enlisted (2014) is a US network sitcom created by Kevin Biegel for FOX, a short-lived comedy loosely drawn from Biegel's own relationship with his siblings. Geoff Stults plays Sgt. Pete Hill, the eldest of three brothers who all end up working together in the Army at a small base in Florida. Chris Lowell plays Cpl. Derrick Hill and Parker Young plays Pvt. Randy Hill, the younger brothers whose temperaments clash with Pete's rank and authority. Keith David appears as Sgt. Major Donald Cody, the veteran whose gruff discipline keeps the unit in line. The engine of the show is simple: each episode turns on a fresh small-base problem, and the brothers' old grudges and loyalties spill into every assignment. The result is a light, breezy workplace comedy with warm bickering and a steady stream of barracks-level jokes rather than combat. Fans of Stripes, Good Morning, Vietnam and Mike & Molly will find resonance in its mix of military routine and family squabbles. The series was canceled after two seasons and reached audiences as a modest, mixed-reception network sitcom.
