## Synopsis

Close your Eyes (2003-2004) is a Greek television romance drama created by Christopher Papakaliatis for Mega TV. Spanning three seasons and thirty-one episodes, it follows two friends who study in London and return to Greece for their vacation. Filippos, played by Christopher Papakaliatis, falls for a married woman, and soon he meets her daughter, who is also studying in London, and the confusion of divided affections begins. Principal characters include Anna (Thaleia Matika), Elle (Doretta Papadimitriou), and Dimitris (Aimilios Heilakis), whose friendships and loyalties are tested as the romantic mix-ups multiply. Each season follows the emotional fallout of these intertwined relationships, with the engine of the show being the tension between desire, loyalty, and the expectations of family and friends in a close-knit Greek setting. The tone is wistful, sincere and melodramatic, with the warmth of summer holidays contrasting with the anxieties of young adulthood. Set in contemporary Greece and London, it gives a sense of the emotional pull between home and abroad. Fans of Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl will find resonance in its youthful romance and interpersonal drama.
