## Synopsis

Prisoners of War (2010-2012) is an Israeli television drama created by Gideon Raff for Channel 2. After seventeen years in captivity, soldiers Nimrod Klein (Yoram Toledano), Uri Zach (Ishai Golan) and Amiel Ben-Horin (Assi Cohen) are welcomed home as national icons. The engine of the series lies in the gap between that public adoration and the private wreckage each man carries: nightmares of torture, strained marriages and children who barely know them. Mili Avital plays Uri's wife Nurit, whose patience is tested as the household reorganizes around a returned husband. Meanwhile the military psychiatrist assigned to the men notices discrepancies in their testimonies and begins a quiet investigation into what they are hiding. Across two seasons and twenty-four episodes, the story alternates domestic scenes of fragile reintegration with interview-driven probing, each hour peeling back another layer of memory. Set in contemporary Israel, the show is a tense, melancholic psychological thriller with a grounded, intimate atmosphere. Viewers who enjoy Homeland, Tehran and The Night Of will find resonance in its study of trauma, secrecy and the cost of heroism.
