## Synopsis

Sea Patrol (2007-2011) is an Australian naval drama series created by Hal McElroy and Di McElroy for Nine Network. Set aboard HMAS Hammersley, a fictional patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy, the show follows the ensemble crew through patrols and duties at sea. Rebecca Brown (Kirsty Lee Allan), known as Bomber, Andy Thorpe (John Batchelor), known as Charge, and Kate McGregor (Lisa McCune), the executive officer, anchor the cast alongside Chris Blake (Matthew Holmes) and Dylan Mulholland (Conrad Coleby). The engine of the series is the daily rhythm of shipboard life: routine patrols, interception duties, and the friendships, rivalries, and romances that form in a cramped, close-knit crew. Across five seasons and sixty-eight episodes, it unfolds as a serialized military drama with episodes that carry their own mission while building character arcs over time. The tone is light and easygoing, with modest stakes and a comforting, sea-salted atmosphere. Viewers who enjoy ensemble workplace dramas set in uniform will find resonance with Heartbreak High and Home and Away, and the show suits anyone looking for a gentle, undemanding drama about an Australian naval crew at work on open water.
