## Synopsis

You Can't Take From One Who Does Not Have (2010-2011) is a Greek animated comedy miniseries created by Giannis Tsitsonis and Yorgos Feidas for Mega TV. Across a single season of fourteen roughly twenty-five-minute episodes, the show follows Menippus, a dead man whose unpaid single obolus keeps him tethered to the afterlife, as Charos (Lefteris Eleftheriou) wants to close his books and be done with the debt. Hermes (Yannis Sarakatsanis), the carrier of souls, is pulled into the scheme with Charos, and together they try to help Menippus, played by Panos Mouzourakis, earn the coin he needs. The engine is a repeating loop of schemes, small earnings and comic mishaps staged across modern Athens, where ancient underworld figures move through contemporary street life and bureaucracy. Each episode is built from concrete, everyday errands that spiral into satire. The tone is sardonic, irreverent and playful, with a sly undercurrent of melancholy about mortality and money. Fans of Hercules, Futurama and Good Omens will find kinship in its mix of mythology and biting modern humor, a self-contained animated miniseries with a distinctly Greek voice.
