## Synopsis

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012-2017) is an American animated action comedy created by Ciro Nieli, Joshua Sternin and Jennifer Ventimilia for Nickelodeon. Five seasons and 124 episodes follow Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello, four mutant turtles who surface in New York City on their fifteenth birthday. Leonardo is voiced by Seth Green in most episodes, Michelangelo by Greg Cipes, Raphael by Sean Astin and Donatello by Rob Paulsen, with Hoon Lee as their mentor Splinter, Mae Whitman as April and Josh Peck as Casey Jones. Life above ground proves harder than they imagined, and each episode pits the brothers against new enemies threatening the city, with Kelly Hu's Karai adding a recurring rival. The engine is teamwork under pressure: the turtles must stay together while learning to live among humans. Episodes mix ninja fights with wisecracking banter and bright, cartoon energy, giving the show a playful, comforting register. Shape is serialized across seasons with a steady stream of villains and escalating city-wide threats. Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans and the 1987 Ninja Turtles film will find resonance in its kid-friendly martial arts adventure and found family heart.
