## Synopsis

Mia and Me (2012-present) is a German-Canadian co-produced animated fantasy series created by Gerhard Hahn for KiKa, ZDF, Nick Jr. and Rai 2. Its protagonist Mia is a young girl pulled out of her ordinary life and into a fantastic fairy tale turned real. Her quest is to find the courage within herself to protect a race of unicorns and an entire magical world threatened around her. Across four seasons of twenty-six episodes each, the story unfolds as one continuing adventure, with each episode built from encounters with fairy folk, companions and small dangers that test Mia's resolve. The supporting cast helps anchor the friendships that carry her through the realm. The 3d animation is bright and gentle, with suspenseful moments balanced by warm, romantic and assertive encounters. The tone is cozy, hopeful and sincere, designed for young children and families. Fans of Winx Club, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Avatar: The Last Airbender will find resonance in its magical-world courage and kindly heroism.
