## Synopsis

M.A.S.K. (1985-1986) is a Canadian, French and American animated action series created by Jean Chalopin, Bernard Deyriès and Bruno Bianchi, distributed through syndication. Its protagonist, Matt Trakker, leads the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, a team of masked crime fighters who pilot transforming vehicles. Their opponents are the chaotic crime syndicate V.E.N.O.M., whose members also hide behind masks and deploy illusion-based schemes. Voice performances by Doug Stone, who voices Trakker and several of his disguises, and Brendan McKane, who voices the villain Miles Mayhem, anchor the cast alongside Sharon Noble as Gloria Baker and Brennan Thicke as Scott Trakker. Each episode is a self-contained weekly battle in which the team pursues a fresh criminal scheme, with vehicle chases and gadget-heavy confrontations driving the action. The series spans 75 episodes over two seasons and is a classic example of 1980s toy-driven animation. Its tone is bright, breezy and earnestly heroic, built on clear moral lines and colorful spectacle. Set in an unspecified contemporary present, it recalls the broadcast era of the period. Fans of Transformers, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and Thundercats will find familiar pleasures in its toy-era energy, vehicle transformations and kid-friendly battles of good against evil.
