## Synopsis

YuruYuri: Happy Go Lily (2011-2015) is a Japanese television slice of life anime comedy produced by Doga Kobo and broadcast on TV Tokyo. Its three seasons and thirty-six episodes follow Akari Akaza (voiced by Shiori Mikami), who arrives at the all-girls Nanamori Middle School in Takaoka, Toyama, and joins the unofficial Amusement Club run by her older childhood friends Yui Funami (Minami Tsuda) and Kyouko Toshinou (Yuka Otsubo). Their plan is simply to hang out and do whatever they want, and the engine of each episode is that small, low-stakes pursuit of fun. The main obstacle is the student council, led by vice president Ayano Sugiura (Saki Fujita), who keeps trying to shut the club down. Episodes are self-contained, built from everyday school routines, club activities and playful banter, with new members such as Chinatsu Yoshikawa (Rumi Okubo) joining the group. The mood is gentle, cozy and breezy, with affectionate, teasing intimacy among the girls running through the comedy. Fans of K-On! and Lucky Star will find the same warm, pointless charm in this lighthearted anime about friendship and school life.
